One of the most popular groups from past concert series, Denver Brass5–formerly known as Aries Brass Quintet–is returning for the fourth year. A fresh and exciting chamber ensemble. Denver Brass5 is in the forefront of commissioning new works which embody the spirit of American music. They are known for their audience rapport and can guarantee "an event for the heart, mind and soul." |

Queen City Jazz Band |
|
The Queen City Jazz Band has become a Colorado musical institution and has been honored by the state legislature, two governors, two mayors, and the Denver City Council for its cultural contributions. Formed in 1957 by a Denver DJ, the band – currently numbering eight – has always included at least one member who has performed with the group for two decades or more. Queen City Jazz has produced more than 25 recordings–including four videos–and has played at jazz festivals throughout North America, the Carribean, Holland and Switzerland.

Colorado Light Opera |

The Colorado Light Opera, a program from CU Opera, performs works from musical theater and operetta. This past summer the CLO performed Sondheim's A little Night Music and Loesser's How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. The program has delighted audiences since 1979 and gives opportunities to gifted opera artists for ensemble performance. Throughout the history of CLO performers, directors and technical staff have included those affiliated with the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Houston Grand Opera and the world-famous D'Oyly Carte Opera of London, England. |

Veronika String Quartet |

Formed in 1989 at Gnessin State Musical College in Moscow, the Veronika String Quartet has been awarded top prizes in international competitions in Russia, Australia and the United States. Appearing in Grand County for the second time, they are currently in residence at Colorado State University-Pueblo and the Pueblo Symphony. Called a "sensitive ensemble with beautiful homogeneous sound, "their program ranges from Haydn and Beethoven to 20th Century works. |

Bergmann Piano Duo |

Always a favorite among Grand County audiences, Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann will appear here for the seventh straight year. From Calgary, Alberta, Canada, they have performed together since 1989 and won numerous competitions throughout the world. Among the rave reviews for this exciting duo is that they give "talented and spirited virtuoso performances." |

CSO Woodwind Quintet |

For the first time, members of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will perform in the Grand County Concert Series. The members of this Woodwind Quintet are Assistant or Associate Principals of the CSO. These highly skilled and respected musicians are experienced in both orchestral and woodwind quintet repertoire. In addition to performing with the CSO and in summer music festivals–such as Cabrillo, Marlboro and Colorado Music Festivals–these talented artists also teach privately in the Denver area.
